Our Story
Tim and Monica Shire own Cob Hill Farm located in Elkton, MD. The first Cob Hill Farm was founded in Dayton, Ohio in 1948 by Monica's grandparents, Ellis and Lucille Brubaker. Stephen (their son and Monica's father) was a hog farmer until he left for college. Tim also grew up on a steer farm and both he and Stephen wanted to get back to farm life! Monica is a nature-based educator and loves the outdoors as well. So...there you have it...the second Cob Hill Farm was born!
Our Mission:
Growing Together
Tim and Monica believe in sustainable living and partnering WITH the land. They aim to inspire others to spend more time in nature and experience the relaxation, joy, rejuvenation and healing it provides. Let's grow together with the plants and animals!
